This is my first massage, what should I know?

Thank you for trusting us to take care of you! It's important to know that during any service, you have control over your level of comfort and should feel safe to communicate at any time with your massage therapist. Receiving bodywork for the first time will likely feel great over some muscle groups, and strange in others. Some level of discomfort may occur, especially with deep tissue techniques, but pain is counterintuitive to the practice. If you cannot comfortably breathe through the technique, the pressure too much. We want to ensure you're getting the most effective treatment possible and will ask for feedback on the pressure and check-in if we suspect anything may need adjusting.
